I had to trash almost all of my Amazon FBA inventory...
When I first started selling books online I went out and bought EVERYTHING. No book was off limits and the sad part about it was I swear I knew what I was doing. I bought books from 2001, 1983, big books, small books, books with high sales rank, books with low sales rank, expensive books, cheap books man I got them all.
Sadly, almost all of those books were trash. They would never sell or if they did sell would make me $0 in profit. I had to eventually trash all of them :(
So what did I learn from my failure?
Don't purchase the best selling books! Most of these books are over supplied on Amazon which means the price is bound to be low. On top of that competition is very steep and its hard to have the lowest price.
If you want to sell books fast try and find books that don't have a ton of competition!
